Infiniti used Q60: The best convertible?

Infiniti used Q60: The best convertible?

It is back in 2008, under the acronym G37, that Europe welcomed this superb convertible Infiniti, whose second generation appeared later in 2016.  Here, in North-America, the Infiniti convertible reached the market in 2009, and in 2014 the manufacturer changed its name for the Infiniti Q60.

Even at that time, convertible sedans with as much personality and style were quite rare, save if you were willing to spend enormous amounts of money, like on six-figure vehicles. That is why a model that was affordable and within reach of “normal” people became so important. Everyone wanted their turn under the sun, with a classy and refined open top car, the wind on their face and a true feel for freedom.

So, if you are looking for a sexy and reliable convertible that is also fun to drive, your Spinelli Infiniti dealership in the West Island of Montreal, presents the Q60 cabriolet.

2014 Infiniti Q60 Convertible

If you are lucky enough to find a used Infiniti Q60 model, here is what you can expect.  In 2014, the used Q60 was available in three version:

  • Sport;
  • Premium;
  • IPL (Infiniti Performance Line).

It also gave you the option between a 6- speed manual transmission as well as a 7- speed automatic transmission, but all shared a common engine:

Engine

Power

Torque

3.7 L V6

325 horsepower

267 lb-ft.

Except for the coupe versions, the Q60 convertible Infiniti only came with rear wheel drive.  For those who love numbers, this engine allowed for a 0-100 km/hr in just over 5 seconds.  Standard on all versions, you can expect to find:

  • Heated front seats;
  • A smart key;
  • An 11- speaker high-end BOSE sound system;
  • Sirius XM satellite radio;
  • A CD player.

The Premier and IPL (Infiniti Performance Line) models add a level of luxury with:

  • Ventilated front seats;
  • A GPS navigation system.

2015 Infiniti Q60 Convertible

In this version, the Q60 offers a three panel rigid roof that needs only about 30 seconds to retract or set itself back into place.  The only issue is that once it is out of view, neatly tucked in the trunk, there is no more space for your belongings.  Once you have the warmth of the sun on your face and the wind in your hair, this might be very far from your thoughts! Seven colors were offered including:

  • Venitian Ruby;
  • Black Obsidian;
  • Liquid Platinum;
  • Majestic White;
  • Hagane Blue.

Its main competitors at the time were the:

  • Lexus RC;
  • BMW 4 series;
  • Mercedes-Benz Class E;
  • Audi A5.

2016 Infiniti Q60 Convertible

In 2016, the IPL version offered an engine with 343 horsepower and a sportier driving experience, thanks to a more rigid suspension and performance brakes that were better adapted.  The Premier Edition model boasted either red leather upholstered seats with wood inlays in reddish tints, or ocher colored leather upholstered seats with maple wood trims.  Both are truly stunning.

Not only does the Q60 offer an outstanding driving experience, it also provides you with loads of safety features, such as:

  • Side Curtain airbags in the front row;
  • Structural reinforcements;
  • Perfected airbag systems;
  • Power distribution of braking capacity;
  • A rear view camera.

Truth be told, no matter what Q60 model you opt for, you are sure to enjoy a dynamic and exciting driving experience, a refined and high-quality interior, proven reliability and, most of all, the pure joy of having the wind caressing your face.

The least we can say is that with such an elegant silhouette, a powerful engine and such generous added equipment, the Q60 cabriolet is certainly one of the best convertibles on the used vehicle market.

Its greatest strengths are the safety features it offers, the exciting driving experience and a reliability you can truly count on.  If you are looking for a unique convertible that is just as stunning as it is fun to drive, just as safe as it is comfortable, then the Q60 is definitely an excellent choice for whoever wants to spend their time driving with the wind on their face, and fully enjoy sunny days at the wheel of an exceptional convertible.

Moreover, if we compare it to its German competitors, whose maintenance prices are quite high on top of them not being too reliable, the Infiniti Q60 is the obvious choice, mostly thanks to the remarkable mechanics and reliability it offers.
